ThreeTwenty: One year in.

It’s hard to believe, but it has been a year since the first post went live on ThreeTwenty! Actually, one year and two days but I didn’t have a chance to get to this on Thursday.

It has been an interesting year running the site and doing so let me become a lot more involved within the Calgary automotive community which I am thankful for. I attended way more meets and shows than I had in any other year, met lots of new people, and was able to make a lot of progress on the Focus. I’m hoping to keep up a similar pace this year and possibly do even more.

Looking ahead for this season, I’ve been making preparations to ensure that the blog can keep providing regular content, and really find its own niche. As already mentioned Kyle will officially be part of the team this year (he was the guest photographer last year, filling in for me a few times), but there are more changes coming.

Even though ThreeTwenty started as a personal blog, I have been wanting it to be more than that and so starting now, we will be working to take a look ‘behind the scenes’ (so to speak) of the Calgary automotive community, as well as continue providing photos from meets and events we attend. ill.motion does a great job of showcasing “finished” cars (we know they never really are) and events when they take place, and I don’t want this to try to be a copy of their site. After all, iM is run by friends of mine and I am even one of their correspondents! Instead, I want to build on what they highlight and show projects as they progress and the preparation leading up to the events.

ThreeTwenty One Year Anniversary decal

Finally, to mark the anniversary a limited run of brushed chrome decals is available, and this combination will only be offered once. The design is a miniature version of the windshield banners that Kanji and Lucas are sporting, as the design was well-received and it makes the decals stand out that much more from the regular versions.

So once again, thank you for a great first year, and following along.
